Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Comment by CindyLou (Louisville) on August 15, 2012 at 10:08am: I finally won a fight with algae in my pool. Just in time for 2 weeks of cool weather. I too like the hot weather. I think it is due to the fact that I have always enjoyed the water. We had a boat for 5 years and then sold it and bought the pool this year. If it wasn't for my fun escapes, I would be loving the seventy's and low eighty's. For now, hot weather, BRING IT ON!

Comment by becciquilter on August 14, 2012 at 9:26pm: I was told by my family doctor that he can count on my "Glass is 1/2 full" attitude. In all seriousness, I told him that I'm not that way. I told him that it depends on what's in the glass. For example, if there's water in the glass - then it's half full. If there's wine in the glass - it's 1/2 empty. Yup - it just depends on what's in the glass.

I think he wants to have my head examined now!! p.s. I just took a position in a high school and I learned some new words today! Bet my Nuke won't even know 'em (well, he better NOT!!!) :)
