BarbZ and DramaboysMom, mine is Feb. 3rd also! He called last night, sounded tired, said getting over a cold, a little worried about finding housing in BS with three other sailors while trying to finish up school.
@momof3: My son has been at Nuke A school a little over a week now (PIR was 1/6). He is also an MM. School hasn't yet started for him - still in doc.
My son is now on his first Underway on the USS Enterprise! He is an EM. He reported to the ship in mid Dec. They have the new Nukes studying and getting signatures! Sounds just like the proto. I gather it takes awhile once you're on a ship to get qualified to actually do the job you finished 3 schools for! Long days too. He graduated proto in early Nov in BS.
Dor, your are blessed.
Connie, you, too are blessed.
Everyone in the Midwest ( specifically Chicagoland, Indiana and Michigan..)
WHO ordered this weather! Yuck..
and for those hunkering down in the northwest... you have very pretty pictures
Finally able to see the silver lining in an extended Grad Hold: my son was able to come home on an overnight leave to be a pallbearer in his grandmother's funeral. He wore his dress blues and she would have been so proud of him, all 6 grandsons were so handsome today. Just got home from taking him back to the airport. Bittersweet: such a sad day, mixed with joy at having him home for a few hours. I thank his Chief (whoever you are, bless you) for granting him leave.
tina41--hello, thank you:)
I got my letter today!! I was so excited!! SHIP 07 DIV 080 :) Im glad I didn't have to call the recruiter and was able to see his writing today instead!! :)
Yes BarbZ I do. Mine is a EM. HOw 'bout yours?
Anyone have a sailor graduating Power School on February 3rd?
hello all!
