Ok, for those of you that watch Bachelorette and for those who don't,  Fiji was where they were last night and next week.

Travelscene USA - Travel Created for You Win 2 airfare tickets to Fiji! Click here: http://on.fb.me/oBiamX

Rules on line, but basically:

HOW TO ENTER? A picture is worth a thousand words... Use your imagination, be creative as you'd like. Upload a picture of an exotic location in the South Pacific or Asia and tell us in 100 words or less, why you chose this destination to give your final rose.

Good luck.

tina41 your son can take the insect repellent with him or you can buy it online. They sell it at hiking stores like EMS (Eastern Mountain Sports) but not sure if Charleston has one. I know for sure the 3M Ultrathon works. My son has used it and he hardly gets bit. The gnats will usually find a patch of skin that lacks the repellent and that is the only place they can bite.

About the Sevin dust I would ne cautious about using it in the BEQ indoors but on the other hand they don't cook meals in their rooms. The best ant killer besides DDT was Dursban but they took that off the market a few years back.

We grow our own vegetables and grow organically so don't use pesticides in the garden any more but I don't mind using them away from the garden. We don't use chemical fertilizer either. After a few years the songbirds and the beneficial bugs take over and eat up the bad bugs.

Kat- I'll never forget the body snatchers from my brother's graduation. It was in June and realllly hot in that building. I think I saw them catch two and drag off three others. :/

Mary- Aaron loves the Swamp People, too! haha. It's one of his shows he watches on Netflix.

Bandito- I saw post away!

And tina- WELCOME! :) He can take insect repellent with him. Or he can buy it when he gets there. Trust me, he'll most likely be spending large amounts of money that first weekend he's there... between stuff for his room and his first trip to the Best Buy, he'll probably have lots of new stuff. :P If you have any other questions, don't be afraid to ask. We don't bite... only the bugs down in GC do. :)

Connie, I am not sure which is worse.  Both sound pretty bad to me. Did you see the body snatchers at PIR?  I was wondering what the heck those guys were doing going up and down the rows and saying something to each sailor individually, over and over again.  I guess they were asking them if they were feeling o.k. after standing there for so long.  I think only one guy fell down durin gour PIR which was amazing since there were something like 1040 graduating that day.

My son later told us they are called body snatchers.

Bandito's Mom, I gave you my E-mail address though you may have missed it, so here it is again symschocolates@yahoo.com

Send me a message and I will give you the info needed to order Cake Pops! Thanks!

Korey's friend leaves for BC on 8 August. He has been hanging at our house lately, so we have been able to give him some information in regards to BC. He is not going Nuke, so he doesn't need any of that.

Kelsey has a picture of Charlie the gator on her phone. I am not sure where it was when she got the shot though.

Kat: re: standing at attention ... your comment gave me a flashback to 2 summers ago, when my son was a Sea Cadet attending a boot camp at Norfolk ... at the graduation ceremony, high noon in July, cadets stood on the parade ground for 2 hours ... a crew would scurry in and drag off the ones who passed out. I thought that was bad; now I see that gnats gnawing on 'em would be much worse!!

One of the Australian girls that I work with was so excited today because she was told she got tickets to Dr Phil.  When she called to confirm, they upgraded her to the front because they loved her accent!
