Sounds like roads are bumpy everywhere today.  Wishing Sharon and Sherri both as much peace as possible.  You're in my prayers.

Sherri, I'm really sorry to hear about your sons situation and his medical problems.  I hope that everything works out eventually.
Comment by William in Nashua on July 13, 2011 at 1:01pm
I don't expect Sherri's son will be rerated because he graduated A school so he is already a ET, EM or MM. He already has earned a rating. He would just be a conventional instead of a nuke.
Comment by Sharon ~ K's Mom on July 13, 2011 at 12:44pm

Sherri, I know what you are going through with Michael. I am truly sorry that he will be re-rated, and honestly hope he will be treated better than our son. May he be able to choose a *job* and be able to really get that *job* and love it.

Sadly, I am not able to post that I am a happy mom on this end! Honestly, I am a very pissed off mom!! Diego has been having issues with his back for a while now, and never said anything until a few weeks ago. He went to medical and they placed him on some meds that doesn't help with the pain, they wanted him to go through PT and now they won't place him on a *med hold.* He has gone back and still they won't help him out, medical tells him "nothing looked wrong and it is muscle and it will heal." Really???? This son never complains without merit!!! So, what does he do now.....................they won't place him on a hold and they tell him his orders have come down and he ships to Ft. Lee, VA. on Saturday!!!! Yep, you are reading this right.....................not a happy *Navy* family at all!!! We just got home from visiting them for a week and we have prayed medical would take care of him and do the right thing. He can't go to medical at Ft. Lee because they will hold him there and with Kelsey still in GC, that doesn't work for them. He will be at Ft. Lee about 5 weeks, then not sure where he will go. I am just so pissed right now, he didn't get what he wanted during "A" school, then has to go in front of the board, doesn't get passed as three others in his class did, has some major issues going on with his back, can't get a med hold, and then he finds out that there is another guy that has orders and a ship to report to and he is placed on a *med hold* for Acid Refulx!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are you kidding me????????? Acid Reflux................take some damn Tums and get to your ship!!!! I am at a loss as to why, what and totally helpless on this end. Prayers???? Totally not answered, Angry??? You betcha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whooops! Sorry about the typo Sherri, I have a friend named Sherry.

Sherry, the most important thing is his happiness. Hopefully this will be a positive change for him! My heart goes out to you.

Sorry to hear Moliana.  Hope he gets well quick.  It sounds like the first week of class is kinda fun.

Haven't heard from my sailor in a couple of days.  Hope he's ok too.

Comment by Moliana (1142T) on July 13, 2011 at 10:22am
Just got off the phone with my sailor, he has strep throat and is SIQ for 48 hours.  He's actually upset that he's missing briefings and PT.  His cell phone reception is horrible in the room so we got cut off about four times.  I guess a child always wants their mommy when they're sick :-)

Sherri,

My thoughts and prayers have been with you and will continue to be.  Peace.

Hugs to you and your family, Sherri! Hopefully he can get a rate that he can enjoy more and be successful! :)

And please don't forget that you'll always be apart of our Nuke family! :)
