My sailor son,,, dressed in uniform in public....  Do you see my name?  Drama Boys Mom.... yeah, he is reason number one for that moniker.  You bet he would dress in uniform.  for anyone... anytime... He is a showman.  He has a degree in Directing and Technical Theater, Lighting and Sound.  Started his own theater (with his younger brother, the other actor) in our town when he was 16. ( now it's left to me, thankfully I do that on the side)

He talked to a gal that graduated HS 2 years after he did, she is Army, been in for 18months. They are very competitive and treat each other like siblings. ( I have no daughters, so she was always "my other kid")  They are the same rank and he will outrank her shortly.  She is mad because "she had to earn her E-3, he just walked into it being a Nuke"   Ahhh.. I smell trouble in the ranks!!!

Yes, there is something about a sailor in uniform, isn't there?  Well, just about anyone in uniform--sailor, soldier, cop, fireman, etc.  And guys in tuxedos!  We made our son wear his dress blues to Christmas midnight mass for the holidays, and he resisted at first, but finally said ok.  He's pretty shy, and he's not too comfortable with everyone looking at him and approaching him, but he's getting used to it.  At the mass, we were selected to bring up the offertory gifts, and of course that was due to his uniform, I'm sure.  What can I say?  I like to show off my son in his spiffy dress blues!

Dang!  Wish I was close enough to go to this get-together.  Michigan is just a bit too far away, though.  :(

haha just the thought of Emily and I trying to keep you ladies on a kid leash... All I can see is a dog walker with about 8 German Shepherds and a few ADHD terriers, except a bunch of moms. But here's the big question, do you want a monkey backpack/harness or a frog...

Alright moms, as soon as Aaron gets back from watch, I'm headed to bed. I have to be up at 2am (its 10 now) to get to the airport with my mom. We're headed to Clemson University for a college visit!! :)

I'll be back on Monday! Enjoy your weekend! :)

Your welcome, Diane! Someone had posted about them on this site back in June or July which is how I found out about them. :)

I loved seeing all the different aspects of the ship and what life will be like for Aaron.

I don't think they have a series for subs. I would like to add "yet" to that statement, but I think because of the secretive state of the submarine technology, they may not ever film one... But who knows. :)

Emily, thanks for posting the link for PBS series "Carrier".  I am really enjoying watching it.  Do they have it for subs too?
