hey hapsmolmr and Jo1, there is another GROUP that is called NUKE A SCHOOL FAQ...there's a lot of good information there about EMs, A SCHOOL, etc.    I usually go there if I have a question.  There are links to more info, too!  :)  Welcome to the Nuke family!

Just got a letter from my SR from RTC and he got EM which was his first choice -- Woo Hoo.  Not sure what that will entail but I'm so happy for him.

Wow, I've been busy all day and couldn't get on here.  I had to go back 8 pages to learn all about the cake balls.  THANK GOODNESS.  I've been wanting to make some so now I have a couple of cool websites to check out.

My husband had knee surgery today so he will be laying around the house for the next several weeks.  can we all say UGH together?

Yesterday I walked outside to go to the gym and right by the car was this little cockatiel.  I stoppe din my tracks, about 8 feet away from him, dropped by gym back and purse to the ground, and started talking to him.  Well, that's all it took.  That little stinker walked right over to me, climbed over my purse, then over my gym bag, and onto by fingers, then up on my shoulder.  Then he flew over on top of the car.  Well, dummy me felt sorry for him and thought he'd end up killed if he stayed out in the wild, so I go the cat carrier and put him it in.  I believe he is now a permanent fixture in our house.  We got a bird cage for him, daughter is trying to think of a good name for him and teach him to talk.  Husband thinks he's pretty special too.  Skyped with my son tonight who also believes he's a keeper.  I've never liked birds.  I tell you, every stray around hears that they can come to our house for a good meal and help finding their home, or an easy adoption.  I'm doomed.  ha.

I don't remember who suggested bakerella.com but OMG HOW STINKEN CUTE!!! I just introduced my mother to cake pops (no, I didn't explain our cake balls convo, she's my mom, that's just awkward and weird) but my mom has been looking to start a bakery after she lost her job. One of her friends wanted her to do a cupcake truck (like a taco truck) but now cupcakes are so out and cake pops are the new :) So if she actually does this and her business takes off, I have you ladies to thank!

OK swim4life...I read that whole discussion thread and I am in shock!  I hadn't been exposed to that before.  Still a little speechless but as a preschool director I LOVED your story at the end.
