Oh and I won't be posting much over the next few days - too hard to do from my phone, but I will be reading!

And don't worry, I will be back lol!

Thanks NancyJo - Yes, I'll definitely be giving/getting plenty of hugs - gotta store up enough to carry us through deployment lol!  And Happy Belated Birthday to your sailor!

Feel free to re-post any of the pictures I post.  Often times I'm re-posting them too!

B'sNuke, love the dog picture! I posted it on FB. Hope that's OK.

Safe travels to VA and give your sailor hugs from all us Navy moms with empty arms. I saw mine fairly recently but there are never enough hugs. Mine turned 26 yesterday. These sailors have so much responsibility for being so young. My sailor is one of the older ones! I hope your trip is great.

ps I'm glad I'm not the only one that forgets things. :^D

Hi all - Happy Tuesday!  My last day of work & I fly out tomorrow morning (o'dark early!) to VA to see my sailor!!!! Woohoo, can't wait.  Last chance to see him before he deploys.

MarkAnthony'sMom - the Starbucks off of Murphy Canyon Rd is becoming our meeting place lol!  We'll definitely have to get together sometime....We'll figure something out ;-)

I searched high & low last night for my son's POA.  I put it in a super secret place and for the life of my can't remember where lol!  I know I had it :(  Lucky for me a mom on FB emailed me a blank so I have that to take with me so I can get another signed....sheesh I think I'm losing it. (I feel like the dog in the tree right now lol!)

Thanks, Joniana. I am indeed!

J'S/S'sMom, I didn't realize you had 3 in the military. I wonder how many people consider that the call to serve isn't just on the part of the service person himself, but also his family. You are giving 3 of your children in the service of this country. God bless you.

J's/S'sMom -- My son is in BS also and expects to graduate in January.  He also is expecting to come home Dec. 12-21, but working on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

B'sNukeMom & Dittersmom -- how nice to see the real women behind the screen names!  Glad you had fun together.

NancyJo (CVN70) -- what a gorgeous baby, so full of joy!  And a beautiful family.  How lucky you are!

Oh man! I hate to miss a party! Nothing better than Navy Moms. You guys will have a blast.

MarkAnthony'sMom, I hope your sailor gets a San Diego assignment when he's done with the pipeline. That would be sweet!

SlezaksMom, Julieforjoey & B'sNukeMom - I live in San Diego and would love to join you all for Starbucks if I'm in town! ;)
We are trying to make arrangements to go see our sailor in GC but aren't 100% sure it's going to happen! :( He is in Power School and isn't sure how leave will work for him.

SlezaksMom & Julieforjoey - maybe the 3 of us can get together at Thanksgiving!  The more the merrier lol!

Comment by CO-TwinSalorsMom on October 19, 2015 at 7:41pm

Mine did not get Thanksgiving off at all when at GC all through Nuke program. He did get Christmas leave thru Powerschool but did not when in Prototype.
