Oh 8isenough....you really make me laugh. My parents had 5 red headed children. When my boys were  19 months old I was diagnosed with cancer and lost all my hair. It went from straight and red to curly and brown. Now it is busy getting lighter as I get grey. don't recoment getting a curl and color that way.

Greetings from the cloudiest place in the country.

Thanks CarolR and B'sNukeMom, yes, I am going to soak it all in, for sure.  Can't wait for the hugs.  The children always tease me and tell me that I am excessively needy in the hug department.  What can I say?  I am a hug-er.   :-)

CarolR, I am guessing your son must be about 1/2 way through BC, then?  BC seemed like forever for me, too, especially with both of them gone.  But it has all worked out okay so far!  Hang in there!

NancyJo, what a cute story about your little one!  That is definitely one to remember.  Safe journeys for your sailor's family.

CO-Twin, your dessert sounds scrumptious!  Glad it was a hit.  It is interesting how one's hair color can change.  I was blond when I was little.  Now I am Loreal 6A.  =)

Congrats 8isenuff my son is still in BC still not sure on what school he will be attending ET, EM, or MM. The wait is killing me, but good things come to those who wait. Enjoy Christmas.

NancyJo - glad you had a nice visit with your sailor and family!  I hope you got lots of hugs from your grandbabies   ;-)

Wishing them safe travels and good luck to him as he embarks on the next part of his Navy journey...

Getting ready to say goodbye to my sailor and his family after a nice 10-day visit. They are on their way to San Diego for him to report to the Carl Vinson. How I will miss him! But it has been a great visit.

My grandchildren call me Oma, which is German for Grandma. So my 2-yr old got confused b/c Oma lives in Omaha. I kept hearing "Hold me, Omaha!" Hysterical!

Hi all - Happy RED shirt Friday!

It's funny that you say that about college son being a red head.  He really isn't - that picture was taken 7 years ago.  He did have red undertones in his hair & I had sort of forgotten about it because as he has gotten older it's pretty much disappeared....plus he keeps it shorter now so you just see a brown color!  Funny how hair color changes over the years - now that you mention it I don't even know what color my hair is anymore LOL!

Co-Twin - face meeting the pavement is never a good thing.  Hope he's mending!

We are finally getting rain today - from the sounds of the newscasters you would think it's Armageddon!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!  Got to finish up my Christmas shopping tomorrow.

Comment by Johanna on December 12, 2014 at 7:40am
Ha, my Nuke is also a RED HEAD!! To this day, older woman will still pull me aside and say, "Oh, I just that his hair color!" I describe it as the color of a Labrador retriever... a soft red...; )
