gretamae3 best of future for you. Hope you have a wonderful visit with your sailor at Christmas. Someone here told me that the older student has a brain click in at about 3-6 weeks in and once that turns on you tend to outshine the younger students.

So sorry for your loss Dittersmom, I found that losing ones mom is a tough one. Still at times would love to just hear her voice and it has been 4 1/2 years since I lost mine.

I don't typically post in here but want everyone to know I read daily. I enjoy it and learn tons. I pray when needed. My son is doing extremely well in A school. He has the highest math grades (which makes me proud since I have a minor in math). He will be coming home for Christmas!!! His class will not be getting leave after A school they will be going straight into power school. His roommate is struggling in power school right now and has 30 hours mandatory study time weekly and my son so bad wants to help him but it's not allowed. I still worry about him though. He is a procrastinator. He has already been yelled at for last minute getting hours in. He actually got class yelled at for it. They now have set hours daily. I try to explain it takes more then your brain...... I am just going to have to let him learn the hard way and pray it works out and he makes it through prototype. That's when he is going to struggle. He wants to go to BS for that. It is closer to home. Do you all have any advice for me?

I find life is keeping me busy this time of the year and then we have our sailor's wedding shortly after the new year.  I read the posts daily and pray for all the concerns for your sailors and requests, believing God can work out details in your lives.

I think it is time to give away some  Minnesota Sno Flakes.  I see we are 18 away from 2600.  Anybody ready for another guessing game?

I will keep track, According to my notes this is the 10th time we've done this.  Some of the first prizes were cake pops.  I donated some of my mini sun catchers for some of the games, and CO Twin gave some of her little sailor figurines the last couple times.  Notice  my profile pic, the red/white/blue star sun catcher, that will be the prize/prizes, actually you can have a choice of that or one in opposite colors, I will post a picture later of the 2.

Don't worry about someone else picking your date, as I figure if 3 people pick the same date, all three win.  If we reach 2600 on a day no one has picked, then the day before and the day after people will win.

Next post I'll give a little history of the game dates so hold your guess till after that.

Dittersmom - so very sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. Not sure if you need the Red Cross info but I bumped it up above for you. I hope you are able to get your sailor home for the memorial.

Vkat's sailor best of prayers that he passes.

My two would LOVE that meatloaf.

Heartsick for that sailors family who died after completing Battle Stations. Such a shock. Can't Imaginge how his family and that division felt today at PIR. Somber one this time.
