My son is home with me now till sunday. Having a great visit.

My guess will be Aug 25th/

Thanks, Deb. I was looking for the 1405 grad date. My son is resistant to recalling information like that when we talk on weekends.
I think they send out invitations, eventually.

Power School graduation was worth the drive (15 hours). Best part is we brought our Sailor home with us for a week.  If you are heading to PS grad anytime in the future, here are my "tips". If it's hot, go for the chairs in the shade; you don't need to be up front because you can go up front for pics when your Sailor walks across the stage. Tell your Sailor to STOP and LOOK AT YOU when he receives his certificate so you can take a great picture; lots of them do this, and mine said he should have. Also, get pictures of your Sailor with his/her buddies because after graduation some may take off for BS and the "group" won't be together again. Wish we would have done this, as one of my Sailor's friends took off for BS over the weekend. Before graduation is probably the best time to do this, as they scatter quickly. And, finally, don't forget to go the the little NNPTC store in the Bowman Center. The challenge coins are there, along with several other things with NNPTC on them; we picked up a sweatshirt and a polo shirt. And, most important, enjoy your time with your Sailor! You will be full of Navy Pride when graduation is over!

Co-Twin - Love the pictures!  Looks like you had a great time in Charleston ;-)  I don't remember if you said or not - is your son staying in GC or going to BS for proto?

Yes I think we should play the game!  Guesses for when we hit 2500 members.  I need to think carefully about my guess.  I've been playing over 2 years now and I never seem to get close LOL.

Hi Deb,

No problem.  I just wanted to make sure you had the right date for your daughter's graduation because if she was in 1404 that one is coming up soon.

Good luck to your daughter!  I hope you get to attend her graduation.  We are so looking forward to seeing our son for his graduation next month!

He is doing ok with the program.  He doesn't mind the workload.  He just has a tough time sometimes when it comes to all the material that needs to be memorized.

Have a great day!

Melissa :)

Thank you! Everything is new to us - my Dad was the last one in the family to serve in the military and he was Air Force in the 40's. I'll figure out this whole Navy Moms website too!

Hi Melissa

I apologize, I had the wrong class, my daughter is actually in Class 1405-8, that's why I had the wrong date for the 1404 graduation.  My daughter does graduate on 11/21.  Caity said that all the sections do graduate together, they have 11 in the 1405 sections.

How does your son like it?  Caity likes it, just very stressful.

Sorry about the confusion with the Classes.

Deb

CoTwin - great pictures! Congrats to your son. Hope you are enjoying your time together :)

Hi Deb & Laura,

I see that you both have sailors in class 1404. My son is in class 1404-7 and he is graduating Power School on September 26th. He said all the sections graduate together.  Are you sure about that November 21st date?

Comment by MelissaL on August 5, 2014 at 9:57pm

B'sNuke Mom - So sorry to hear about your son's car. I hope they find it.  I understand the value it is to him. Hard to replace old reliable cars
