While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

I'm looking forward to returning to one of my favorite places next year for a month of training in Knoxville/Oak Ridge. Can't wait to hit the Bijou downtown for some American roots music!

oh, and I made a version of the barley lentil soup, sweet and jalapeno cornbread and a monster salad. Katie made chocolate chip cookies that become an appetizer when the kids came home when Kate and I were in BS last week. They seem to be doing well. Hopefully they come to Elmira this weekend for our Honor Flight benefit and some wine tasting!

Comment by quiltblue on November 9, 2011 at 3:31pm: We have kept our sons car in Dad's name, insurance on the family plan, made sure everything was current before driving to Goose Creek. He should not have to do anything regarding the car, expect to put the new sticker/tag on next year when we get it. Decided to do it this way just in case there is any problems. If we move everything to SC and then he moves to NY next year for Power School, it would just be a waste of money. He hardly drives the vehicle in SC anyway, so that is what we chose to do.
