Macys has all of it's formal dresses on Clearance right now, check that out. Prom is over so there are a TON of dresses priced really, really cheap to clear.

Oh, and two of the girls have issues ordering dresses online. which I understand, it just makes it extremely hard to find royal purple dresses under 100 in our small town! MichPad can attest to the lack of cheaper dress stores in our area :/
Comment by amanda on May 29, 2011 at 4:54pm

Ya I wanted all the girls to have different dresses too. I'll definitely check out that Light in a box website, Thanks!!! I'm trying to keep the dresses under 100 for the girls because we're all broke college students lol

New idea is all black dresses of all different styles but doing purple (wedding color) hair accessories, flowers, bows, and shoes. Then we can get the dresses elsewhere because Davids Bridal is on my hit list!

Comment by Sherri_M on May 29, 2011 at 12:16pm

yes, I love the idea of the different styles of dresses...Sarah is open to that as well!  So that might be the way we go!

BTW...THANKS for sharing your family members!  Happy Memorial Day to you all and thanks for your sacrifice!  I love ya all and your service members!!!

Amanda, I found a website where you can choose the color of the dresses and they'll make it for you.  I think it's called Light in the Box.  I haven't ordered anything from them but I have read glowing reviews.

There are some stores/catalogs where you can buy different style dresses all in the same color material.  My niece did that with 8 different bridesmaids and it looked awesome and everyone's dress fit their body type.
Comment by Kat (MM Nuke) on May 29, 2011 at 12:33am
Amanda, I've seen pictures of weddings where the bridesmaids all had the same color dressed but different styles that were more suited for each figure.  Might be an idea.
Comment by amanda on May 29, 2011 at 12:31am
Ya I really hope we can shop around and find better stuff. I think that's so great that you're not letting them look trashy! We don't really have that problem, just the problem that they all have such different bodies and I can't find one dress for all of them or ones that aren't so stinkin' expensive!

Sharon...Sarah has a friend who is going to school for photography and is going to take their pictures...if I'm not mistaken, she did all Sarah's senior pictures.  She's done alot of photo shoots, plus some weddings and from what I've seen, they are not bad at all.  Also, she's doing it for free.  We will have a sister and an uncle also taking pictures with their cameras as well.
Comment by Sherri_M on May 29, 2011 at 12:23am

Thanks all!  And I'm happy Sarah got the dress she wanted too!

Amanda--I know what you mean about Davids bridesmaid dresses..one of our problems will be that the girls are young...like 15-18..so we dont want them looking, well, not so lady like.  And they are all well, chesty...so we (me and the brides mom, NOR ANY of the brides maids) don't want strapless for them.  Did find some dresses that are decent, but going to look a couple places...never know, we may luck out somewhere else.  I must say, Sarah is not picky about what their dresses look like --if they are strapless or not, jsut as long as they are either silver with the blue accents or vice versa...
