Don't even get me started on the Navy encouraging tatoos.  If you saw Carrier you know it's encouraged.  I think it becomes a bit of a competition.  My son now has so many (and I long to see his body the way it used to look in a btahing suit) I only see red, too, unless he is wearing long sleeves.  Both his arms have them, his back and shoulders.  He had the most beautiful, muscular clear skin and bady.

happy monday - wanted to share one other thing about my trip last 2 weeks. Steven has another new tattoo - its on his ENTIRE upper arm - starts at the back of the arm where it is a complete forest scene (with a deer) then wraps around to a lake with a guy in a boat fishing & wraps around to the front of his arm - I couldnt even finish looking because all I saw was RED!

Happy Belated Easter Everyone!

Hi newbies!  In case you haven't seen the Nuke A School FAQ group, it has gathered up info from many sources and posted it all in this group.  NFMom and others have done a great job gathering all the info.  I've even pointed my son to it.

Thanks everyone for your kind words and prayers for my son.  He is feeling a lot better and will hopefully find out today about his status in school.  He is meeting with his chief.  He is pretty sure that he will be held back which luckily seems to be okay with him.  He is only 2 months in so I doubt it would affect any awards.  A lot better now than later in A School.  He did mention that the class one week back is full so he may have to delay another week.  Hope I hear today.  Getting info from my boy is frustrating!

Congrats to all the new graduates.

Emily, when it rains on your wedding day it is supposed to be good luck.  Perhaps that's true for graduations, too.  Welcome back, I missed you.  Looking forward to the pictures.

Welcome to the Newbies!! Glad to have you all aboard!!

Emily, sorry you had such a bad day, but exciting one too to be able to be with Aaron. That is the best part of any day. Hey, send me the info for the fb group. I never got anything from you to join in. Thanks!

We talk to Diego every Sunday night and it is so nice that he calls each week. It is a long conversation, but one that I look forward to each week. Just to hear his voice as tired as he is by that time, I miss them so much. Kelsey and I text throughout the week, but don't "talk" on the phone. It gets the tears going each time, I can't wait to be with them in July. Diego gradutates from "A" school on 03 June and Korey and Kacy are still in school until the third week in June. So, he is going to save his leave time for Christmas so he can come home. That is important, it will be their first wedding anniversary and we will be able to celebrate Christmas as he was really sick this year. He got sick on Christmas Eve and we were to host our family and wasn't able to. Missing them so much every day and looking forward to spending time with them soon!

Wow, so many newbies--welcome.  If you all haven't already, check out the discussions above for helpful information.  Lots of your questions will be answered, then, if you have more, ask away.

Emily, I am so sorry you didn't have a good power school grad experience.  Maybe they will learn from this weather fiasco by the time we go in August!  That's especially since we didn't go to A school grad.  I really think we would have gone to A school grad if it wasn't only a month away from Christmas break, and we had just seen our son then.  As it is, we're visiting him in May, and then going in August for graduation.

We had a good Easter, and it was nice for the whole family to Skype with our son!  He chatted with everyone, and he showed off his room and stuff for those who hadn't seen it before.  Other than that, he didn't do much special to celebrate, and he said he had to do more studying for a test today.

And, for you hockey fans, at my son's request, I told him I would send him my Red Wings jersey (#19, of course!!!)--it's quite big on me, so large enough for him.  When we were Skyping, we had to tease him about the beginnings of a mustache; he's never had one before, but he's growing it in support of the Wings in the Stanley Cup playoffs.  For those who don't know, the Wings have a tradition of not shaving during playoff season.  Supposed to be good luck.  He can't grow a beard, but he is doing his part with the mustache.  LOL  Let's hope it helps!
