Kathryn,
I'm so sorry - what does your son do? My son was an AO and did two deployments once on the Geo Washington and once on the Enterprise. It can be stressful. I will certainly keep you son and all the shipmates in my prayers. Is it a 6 month deployment and is your son ship's company?

Cynthia, sounds like a good idea to me. Debbie is also wanting to get together and may be able to add another Navy Mom.

Hi Cynthia:
I'm interested, but my sailor will be home for 2 weeks during that time, so I'll have to see what is going on that day. I have a co-worker who would like to come, too.

Any chance of the Navy Moms in the Columbus area getting together? Any Moms in the Ohio area with a sailor on the U.S.S.Monterey?

Melani,
Catherine had a job before she went in and would pretty much spend everything she made. She saved a little but not much. But since being in the Navy (and making more money) she still spends like crazy. Now some things have been important big ticket items like a computer and some stuff for the apartment, but she needs more clothes like I need another *********!!!
