Julie- hes actually my boyfriend not my son lol

I was also in the 4th grade when that happened living in NY! It was such a sad and strange time. All i really remember is everyone getting called out of class so as my little 4th grade self crossing my fingers i would be called out next not thinking of what could be going on! My Father was supposed to be in a meeting in the 2nd tower on the 70somthingth floor that day. The meeting was changed to the 12th. He has the letter about the meeting change framed so he will always remember how precious life is and how easily it can be taken away form you.

I'll never forget 911.  Our eldest daughter had just begun college in NYC 1 week before 911. She saw the billowing smoke from her dorm room window!  That was such a devastating tragedy.  Our special ops are to be held in high esteem for their victory over terror.

That's crazy! I was in 4th grade when that happened, and now I'm a freshman in college.

It's about time they got bin Laden.  Although it was 10 years too late at least they finally got him.  I hope no innocent civilians were killed in the process but I have to admit that I'm glad he's gone.  I feel guilty for feeling that way about another human being but that's just how I feel.

Turn on the news if you are still up. Bin Laden is dead. The president is getting ready to make a statement. But they have his body. 10 yrs after 911.

ProudNavyMom:  Wheeew!  I was wondering if it was a "reward" call since it came so quickly after the other one.  Good for him!
