Happy Birthday to Cait's SR!  They get ice cream on Sundays I hear, so hopefully that is something of a celebration for him.  Welcome Texas Mom.  We are so very happy to have you with us.

Proud Navy Mom... i talked to HisSailor (not sure if you have yet) but the reason he called is because he shined his shoes the best in the group! He got the extra call for the job well done. No need to worry

diannep:  I'm really going to have to chill out.  I didn't think they got calls that often so naturally I assumed something was wrong.  He got a short call today because he did a really good job of shining his shoes!!!!  Can you imagine???  What a relief!  I was so worried.  He missed his girlfriend yesterday so when he couldn't get me he called her.  I'm just grateful that someone got to talk to him!  Yep, I really need to definitely chill out!!!

ProudNavyMom:  He probably just got an "extra call" in...I wouldn't worry.  I guess he left no message?

texasmom:  He also will be in the first group to do BattleStations.  Either Wed or Thurs night a week before PIR...so he will be one of the first to become a sailor!

HOOYAH!

Hi again, texasmom!  Wow, you get around!  :-)  But SO HAPPY that they moved his date up...you get to see him sooner!  Thanksful that he is recovered and heading into the homestretch. From the letter that he wrote, it is obvious that he is one great guy!  Blessings and prayers for you all as he is almost THERE!

Well, I received a call from my Son yesterday, some of you know me. I joined the PIR 6/3/11 thinking that would be when he graduates but, when he called yesterday he says it will be 5/26/11 (Thursday) because, of the holiday. My son was suppose to PIR on 4/8/11 but, because, of an injury we are finally PIR on 5/26. YEA! Thank you to everyone that has prayed or written to my son.  I want to say that this website is wonderful and for those that have just joined you will find a wealth of information on this site as well as spiritual uplifting when you are down, or missing your son/daughter/husband.  Thank you to all the Lovely Mothers.... Your hearts are wonderful!
