Diannep:  Thanks for the heads up.  Ever since my son didn't pass one of his PFA tests I've been paranoid that he may not graduate with his division.  That would just be too awful.  I have heard (and I sincerely hope it's true) that the RDCs will help them out to reach their goal.  Of course I'm sure it depends on if the SR acts like he cares...

Do you know what weeks the next 2 PFAs take place?  I'd like to know so I can be asking for extra prayers!

Thanks for all of your help.  You too 1fireteamwife!!!!!  Keep us straight!

I know...isn't the pockets one funny! I have a picture in my head of the Sailor in the Peacoat.

It's always like that isn't it? Honor, Courage, Commitment...and Sailor mouth! Gotta love 'em!

BattleStations for this group will probably be starting Wed., May 18th.  Since this is a small PIR group, they may not start until Thurs, but with PIR on a Thurs, thinking they may move it up a day.  They don't do them on Fri or Sat nights, but would resume Sun or Mon night.

Thank you very much 1fireteamwife.  I sure didn't know any of those rules.  I would hate to do something to get my new Sailor in trouble!  I also noticed some more rules on that page (although not part of that article).  The families need to know these too just to be on the safe side.

More rules, from the official Navy website

1. Graduating Sailors may not smoke, drive, or consume alcoholic beverages while on liberty.
2. Graduating Sailors must stay within a 50-mile radius of RTC.
3. Graduating Sailors must remain in their complete uniform while on liberty. If they are engaging in physical activity or swimming, they must be in authorized Navy issued workout gear.
4. Liberty expires at 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 8 p.m. on Sunday. No overnight liberty is authorized. Due to security checks and transit time, please allow ample time for graduating Sailors to walk back to their assigned ship prior to the end of liberty.
5. Families may not enter the base after graduation and will need to meet graduating Sailors for liberty at the main RTC gate.
6. Graduating Sailors departing RTC for follow-on training the same day as graduation or in a duty status will be granted limited on-base liberty.
7. Graduating Sailors receive an in-depth liberty briefing prior to their graduation day.
Okay, and one of the oddest rules ever: sailors may NOT put their hands in their jacket pockets to keep them warm. "It looks unprofessional" the Navy says. Despite the fact that the most famous Navy statue ever depicts the sailor with his hands in his pea-coat pockets.

Thank you 1fireteamwife, that is exactly what I was looking for.  I don't want to do anything that might get my son in trouble.
