This is the final test for your SRs.  It is an overnight 12 hr drill that tests them on all they have learned and may encounter when deployed on a ship.  It takes place on the Disney-created USS…Continue

Moms, Wives and Family of 11/180.  Please post on the RTC Facebook page too.  I started a new discussion for 11/180.  RTC tells the recruits how many posts we have in a discussion and they cheer!  Let's do that for our SR's too.  Other ships/divisions some discussions are started.  They do not get updates on Navy 4 Moms except from us and I know they would love the feedback that WE HAVE SPIRIT in 11/180.

ProudNavyMom:  When my sailor was in bc, I remember sitting in church, on the end of the row (even though the ushers kept trying to get me to MOVE OVER so others could get in...I wouldn't give up that aisle seat)...with my phone on vibrate, in my hands in front of me...ready to JUMP for the door if/when he called.  Thankfully, he never called while I was at church, but I was ready!  :-)

1fireteamwife - I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't understand you answering a phone call from someone who is so important to you regardless of WHAT you were doing.  I doesn't matter where I am or what I am doing, I have warned everyone I know that if the phone rings and I go running around looking for a quiet place DON'T BOTHER ME cause it's my SR. I even told my boss at work that if my son calls, I'm taking it and talking as long as the RTC/RDC will allow!!!  It would just really be nice if it didn't happen in church...

I think I will send my SR a SASE with a note asking to write down the names of the SR who would like to receive mail, but are not.

Clockard Thank You!

ria5; OMG; joankf; Luvn my Navy son; Proud NaVy Mom; D for Megan - Yeah for all of you getting mail!

Proud NaVy Mom - Ditto on all of your comments about your sons letter. Especially about "structure" and "family". "Brothers" as your SR says. Woo-Hoo on the phone call tomorrow! I hear you about not missing calls! When my hubby calls (and now my SR!) everything gets dropped! Let's see...I've missed Bible study, had to hand over to an assisitant while I was administering SAT's to 2nd graders and probably a few others! Once I spent an entire trip at the dentist for my other two boys on the phone with him! The dentist came out to talk to me about how everything went! (They were very nice about it.) Hey, the man walked through a sandstorm in full gear to call me! The USO was empty because of the conditions, so we had lots of time to talk! Not going to waste it.

I feel so rude sometimes. If I can, I try mention beforehand why I might suddenly run out of the room!

D for Megan- Thank you :) He loves exercising so that might be a good job for him to have at BC.
