This is the final test for your SRs. It is an overnight 12 hr drill that tests them on all they have learned and may encounter when deployed on a ship. It takes place on the Disney-created USS…Continue

Anybody have a daughter in division 182? I was hearing from her regularly but haven't heard anything since Mother's Day. Silence is so hard! She mentioned in her call that there were lots of people…Continue

Thanks laura, it's okay lol.
LisaB- It is not too late to order PIR ribbons. You can send me a friend request on here or you can send me an email to: uniquememorymakers@yahoo.com If you send me an email be sure and include your N4M's name and PIR date so I will know who you are. The ribbons are a great way to recognize other N4M members at PIR and the Meet and Greet but they are an awesome way to show your pride for your Sailor. Plus they make a great keepsake that you can put in a frame or scrapbook. I will post a pic below so you can see what some look like and you can see more on my page here or on my facebook page. It is Unique memory Makers. If you go to the page and click "LIKE" your name will be entered into a drawing to receive a FREE bundle pack of Navy Scrapbook embellishments that I make. Thanks
to add to clockard's comment- each division will be on a different Week/day #. The reason we try to figure out what week and day they are on is because many recruits will write home and say for example "battlestations will be week 6 day 5". If they do this and we know what week/day they are on then we can figure out what night they will be doing battlestations.
And, if you ask the recruits they would not consider themselves lucky to be in "P" days longer lol. They hate "P" days and would rather be training. I have heard my daughter and her friends talk about bootcamp and 9 months after bootcamp they still refer to "P" days as "hell".
ria5-16 minutes out of the 30 for the call. But I don't care and hope the time went for someone else to call or make an extra call! He just has me to call.
joankf- my apologies to the young ladies and their moms! I keep forgetting that they do at least TRAIN with the ladies sometimes!
Proud NaVy Mom - I bet your SR was on watch too. I hope that he and the other SR's get nice long calls tomorrow! I was in the same boat(needed to clarify something) and got it cleared up. So I'll be praying for you too!
Oh and I asked him what "day" it was and he said 2-5 (week 2 - day 5.Sat and Sun don't "count".) So tomorrow is 3-1. Okay veteran moms and D for Megan, doesn't that make PIR 5/26, "8 - 1"? Does it matter?
As far as the SR NOT getting mail...I think we have to get the names from our SR's. I asked my son for that in my first letter, so he BETTER find time to write and get that to me/us! I feel terrible for the ones not getting any that could really use it! Believe it or not, I read of one somewhere that thought it was wierd to get mail from a stranger...but all the others are so HAPPY!
I also know there is a group that handles that for all of the Navy(?).I forgot the exact name but I believe they are on our Discussion Forum.
I went to the bookstore today to get word searches and black and white comics to scan and print into his letters. I would love to do that for others!
My son and I found a musical card that plays AND has a dancing hamster! Ha, maybe I'll threaten him with it in exchange for a letter!
Not only would they confiscate the candy but they would stand there and eat it in front of them and make them do IT while they ate it. Don't send goodies lol.
Hang in there ladies, the calls will come :-)
