I just finished my dress today!!! :) :) :)  I'm planning on having sister take photos to share.  It's a knee-length a-line dress made from red, white, and blue fabric.  I've a navy blue caridgan to wear over it... I found the CUTEST sandals at Dillards with anchors on them, so I'm wearing those regardless of the weather.  :)

Got a call from my hubby!  I thinking this is the last one until the "I'm a Sailor" call.  On pins and needles, though, for Battle Stations tomorrow.  EEP!

Julie - thank you so much, I have been so wired these last few days.  I cannot wait to see my boy.  He asked me to bring his laptop, contact lenses and boxers (lol).  I finally got into his room today and stripped his bed and cleaned out from under his bed and dressers.  REALITY :(  BUT PRIDE :) GO DIV 182!!!!!

I'm not sure why we were allowed to attend the ceremony when recruits become sailors.  It's very rare to be invited--my son said it never happens.  You can't ask them questions about battle stations as they are not permitted to share what happens other than something general maybe.  It is emotional--they're exhausted and it's the last big hurdle to being in the Navy.

Every graduation ceremony is the same (except for the grads, of course!), so do take a look at some of the pictures posted by the U.S. Navy Recruit Training Center on facebook.  It's what they will experience on Friday.  Hope you can be there--bring binoculars, cameras, and tissue!

Got a phone call from my SR!  He sounded fantastic!  181/182 goes to BS Monday night.  I can sleep better tonight.

Moms/Wives of 180.  RTC posted on our 11/180 division on FB.  It regards when the announcement is made about Honor Divisions.  Joankf:  my prayers for strength will go to your SR and Division 181.  Best wishes for BS and enjoy Recruit Heaven afterward!
