It is very sad especially when you hear the terrible stories with the most vulnerable people suffering the most. Scary how fast our lives can be destroyed in a blink of an eye. During that day when that horrible weather pattern was passing through I had my eyes on the weather channel because I was worried about he weather in the Great Lakes. To me it seems the weather is getting more violent with all the diasters. I hope I'm just over reacting and this isn't signs of something else.

Please pray for all the victoms of the storms that came through NC on sat. I think they said 22 killed. One of the victoms was a family member of the local weather man. Very sad! The line of storms that came through here was bad and we had tornado warrings  but nothing like is was when it got east of here. Alot of the victoms were children and babys.

It's rare that the investigators will talk to family members. They know that family will tend to talk well about the invedtigatee. I know that the investigator only spoke with my mother after he couldn't find anyone else to speak with.
And Julie - even if they aren't able to call any time soon, everyone will be receiving letters. I've never been much for writing letters, or even staying in touch very well at all, but during BC I wrote a ton of letters. Helped to pass the time and keep my mind off of everything that was going on.

Julie, We haven't received a call or a letter from our SR since the night of arrival and the form letter either.  I keep focused on our mentors saying: "no news is good news" in the Navy.  I also know 38 days goes by so fast and they are very, very busy.

Jessica,

USIS (United States Investigative Services) did his interviews.  I found it strange who they wanted to interview.  We gave them the names of teachers and adults who new him well and they rejected that and wanted to talk to his high school friends.  They also talked to neighbors, and people from the university he attended out of state but they never talked to any family members.

Julie, I looked at the 11/180 discussion and I do see calls re:  PIR are coming in.  I am hoping the RDC for our group is allowing calls so HOPEFULLY you will get one soon.  It will be really short if like the other calls, but you never know. Be sure to let us know so we can rejoice with you :)

Jessica, I found the information that you wrote about security clearance interviews interesting. You stated that some will be done in BC or most will be done in A school. My sons in BC now but his security clearance interviews were done last summer. They talked to his friends at home, friends and professors at the college he attended out of state. They didn't talk to family though. Do you think that will be done sometime soon or don't they always talk to family?

It's kind of funny... I told my girlfriend before she left when she would be graduating. She didn't think I was right, of course.... Bet she does now, though, lol.
