We've booked 2 (mine and my daughter in NY) out of 4 flights.  My college graduate is trying to work around her senior week schedule and my husband may be driving his parents to graduation (3 hours from our house)  so he'll fly in and out of our hometown. We hope to get everyone's flight coordinated and booked by next week. So many logistics to work out!  Now I know how complicated it must be to try and schedule 100's of SR's flights for A-school!

OMG:  If you are using Southwest, like I think you had mentioned before, you can go ahead and book.  They have no change fee so if you have to change your reservations, there should be not problem.

ProudNavyMom:  You are so sweet to invite us!  Believe me, if we could be at all of the MeetNGreets, we would.  We veterans love getting to know you all.  Please know that we will be there "in spirit" with you all....and are HOOYAHING all over the place for your new sailors!

Just wanted to let you all know the PIR 05/26/11 Meet & Greet Event has started!!!  Just go to Events (on the right side of the screen), scroll down and click View All.  It will be on the last page.

Even though we know that you probably will not be able to make it, we would like all of the veteran moms, dads, Sailors, etc. that have been helping us on our boot camp journey to know that you are also invited (that means you diannep, JessicaB, Lala, and all the others who have been helping us)!!!  We could never have gotten through these first couple of weeks without you!

Lisa, don't get refundable tickets!  Very expensive.  Most of the time, you will still come out ahead with the change fee.  As Jessica mentioned in her post, my son was asmoed and the tickets were actually cheaper on the new dates.  So the $150 change fee was actually just like it was only $89.
