FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I haven't written for a while so I hope everyone had a good Easter. Since we moved back to PA I'm going to be looking for a new job but I would be willing to drive to Pittsburg for a get together if I'm not working that is!!! I will keep looking on here for new information. If it's raining where you are try to stay warm & dry...

Im a Lucky woman.I got to meet a MOM from my sons PIR group She lives in OHIO.Her son was on the Truman which just out back from deployment. On her way home we met at the Applebees in Irwin. First time meeting. OH my it was AWESOME. We hugged and shared stories. I learned about deployment. Boy do we need a meet with the moms in Western PA

Hi- I haven't been on her for a long while- because I was afraid I would spill the beans- opsec etc... But now

YAHOOO

We are on the way to meet the USS Mason and see our son who has been deployed for 9 months!!!!!!!   Cannot wait!  Please say a prayer of thanksgiving for their safe return and throw in a wish for good weather!

Mom2bryan i just saw your post!! I was on vacation. Congrats to your son, Japan how exciting!!! You must be so proud of him.
