My son is in Groton CT. They are getting blizzard conditions and freezing fog. He hates that sort of thing because the guys on the boat have to go out in that awful weather and clear off the sub. Last thing they want is all that weight on the sub, not to mention not being able to get the hatches open!

My hubs didn't come home last night, stayed at the Hotel across from his office. Maybe I'll see him tomorrow night. Why is it when I am 2/3rds of the was done with shoveling the driveway, my brother-in-law shows up with manly equipment?
I am so ready for a meet and greet anywhere where it is warm and NO chance of snow. I'm in on the lottery thing too. Florida is good, San Diego is fine, anywhere but here.

Both of my sons colleges are closed. Altoona and Kutztown. My son at Kutztown is 23 and lives in the middle of the action on Main St. It's a big old house and they had a Luau last night.

What base is your son at? I think my son is around Thailand or somewhere else that is warm right now.

I'm so tired of snow, I'd even settle for Miami or the Keys. Warm but less flight time!LOL At the rate that schools are closing, the kiddos will be going to school over the 4th of July.
I just heard that they are getting so much snow at my son's base that they are closing the base. That means whoever is on the boat is stuck there and anyone home gets to stay there.

Let's make it a plan. The next one to win the Pennsylvania lottery will arrange a meet n greet in Hawaii. I'm in.

I still think we should find a female groundhog and replace Phil with her. I thought Jeano was going hunting.......The snow has already started, yippee!!!! Hawaii sounds like a good idea to me. I'll meet you there.

I continue to blame it on the Ground Hog! We are getting 8 inches on top of our 23 inches.

I am so tired of snow. Not a flake has dropped yet around here and yet, I am not going into work tomorrow, regardless. Where are you spring??????????

Well, at least it will be pretty with all that white. DC is an easy city to walk around in, in fact I never drove while I was there. Just plan on taking the subway or walking. Not to mention that the museums and restaurants will be less crowded.

I have to laugh...when my son got back to Sasebo, Japan in January, they had a snow storm. I have pictures of his ship with three inches of snow. It was a big deal there.
My Christmas gift to my husband was a Presidents Day weekend in WashingtonDC. I am beginning to think this might be a bad idea. What do you think?
