For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by Navymomsquared on April 4, 2012 at 1:05am: Thanks for the info. He is hoping to come home between a school & c school. FC's usually have a pretty long hold time between the 2. He got 100% on the last test so things are looking up.

Comment by Proud navy mom/Eddie's mom on April 1, 2012 at 9:54pm: He paid to have his ticket changed to come home then go to Virginia, and they really wait until the last minute to give them there tickets so it does cost a pretty penny for them to make the changes but well worth it in my book. I hope we can go to Virginia for his birthday this month and see him before he leaves for Japan. He doesn't know how long he will be in Japan so that's a scary one for me, not knowing when I will get to see him again. Hope it's gets better for your son , my son was bored out of his mind as well and it was hard for him to stay awake in class but he managed. Now let's hope he can do it again lol. Tell your son he only has a couple more weeks, stick it out and it will get better.

Talked w my sailor today & he us having a rough time in ATT school. He's bored & dell asleep 2x in class this week. He got put back on phase 1 & has to do all open learning & go to mandatory nite school. Funny thing...he has a 91% in the class. 2 weeks left before its over & he starts A school. Fingers crossed all works out.

Not sure I will do well with him leaving again, I just miss him so much. I'm very proud of him for growing up even though I didn't want him to lol. Just afraid I will not see him again for 3 years.

And most of all she looked Beautiful!

And now she is leaving us again tomorrow to head to C-School :(

So Leese- is your dtr the sailor & she just got married?
My sailor is still in ATT school. Still doing good w his grades. He's happy to.be finished w analogy & starting on digital. He's been quiet during this whole solid curtain exercise thing. I thought dream sheets were for later so I will have to ask him. He too lost his wallet a few weeks ago. Had to do a 1500 word essay. Couldn't go to Chicago for st patty's day cuz he still didn't have his replacements debit card. Life lessons :)

the wedding went well we had great weather, The Reception is this Saturday so the whole family can be there so they took off for a few day's to spend some alone time together.

I hope everyone is well on here and your New Sailors are doing great!
