Checking in...Raining AND crappy here in Chicago.
Ken'sMom, We are practically neighbors, lol. I'm currently in Columbia, but we are looking for a house now in the Sykesville/Eldersburg area. My hubby works in DC.
barbydahlzz, Wow, already and in KY? That's craziness.
@Betsy - I am in Maryland also! Yup, it is nasty and gross here..I am in Rockville, you? Well, Moms! I just sent out 4 letters this morning to my SR!! Well, 3 letters and one Thanksgiving card! Today was an easier day for me...getting his form letter last night perked me up knowing I will at least be able to communicate with him via letters!! Sooo rain or not, it is a Fine Navy Day!!
barbydahlzz...that is the nastiest four letter word ever! YUCK! :)
barbydahlzz, ok, yes I'll admit it, I'm a little more than "a bit" jealous, but I was very lucky to have made a trip out there to see her in September, so I guess, in all fairness, I can't cry about it too much.
GOOD MORNING everyone! Hope eveyone is doing well. Fingers crossed for the remaining letters that need to be received. Have a groovy kind of day :)
raining like crazy in Kentucky too... storms later.. then i heard the "S" word for monday... NOT the dirty word... SNOW...LOL
I LOVE DISNEY .. but not a member of the vacation club.. bought a timeshare in Orlando years ago.. but sold it to buy a house...hahah... Betsy... Id be MORE than a weee bit jealous... I'd be saying TAKE ME TAKE ME HHAHAHAH
Good Morning, Ladies. I hope everyone is having a nice morning. It's raining like crazy here in Maryland again.
Btw, I am also a big Disney person. We belong to the Disney Vacation Club and have been taking our kids to their resorts since the early 1990's. My daughter is living in Hawai (fiance is Navy) and she is going to their new resort on Oahu next weekend for her birthday celebration. Yes, I admit I'm a wee bit jealous!
Good Morning NAVY MOMS and KEV...
Hey Kev... i sooooooooooo agree with your comment on Have a Glass of Wine (or 2) when you open the box...
SNICK.... Honey ur letter is coming!!! stupid snail mail
LADIES OF DIV 039.... you guys beat me to it.!!! Im soooo excited..
ok, i reread my sr's note he wrote on the form letter all the time... especially the line that says "he's having fun" wonder if he is still?
Springhill Suites and Residence Inn are the hotels that seem to have the most positive feedback on this site. They are close...each about 4.5 to 5 miles from RTC. Both have PIR shuttle service. Springhill is by the Walmart shopping center where there are restaurants---that is also where Sarge's MeetNGreet is held...in one of the restaurants/bars there. Residence (where we stayed) is in a quiet office park area just up the road, about 1/2 mile closer to RTC. They also have a free hot/cold buffet breakfast in the lobby. PET FRIENDLY too.
Good morning, everyone!
