Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

He's still in GL till Dec on hold. He goes to school in Jan in Virginia. When he goes to his ship finally in June it will be in dry dock for repair. What do they do then? What is cranking?
Happy anniversary all!
Another thanksgiving without him. But on the bright side he will be home after Christmas.

Shmommy she hated it!
But she completed it so she was happy about that.
Two Weeks ago she was awarded a NAM and got Sailor in the spotlight last week.
She's coming home for Christmas can't wait to see her!
I wish you all Happy Holidays..And hope you all get to spend it with your Sailors.

I haven't checked in for awhile.. My son is stationed in San Diego. His ship is currently docked until Summer 2014. He's pretty lonely a lot of the time, and unfortunately hasn't really made any friends yet :(

Leese, he's cranking currently... not real fond of it. Lol

Yup...its anniversary time for us. G will have been gone a year on the 10th. Totally miss him!
He asked me today what I wanted for Christmas & I told him I was just happy having him come home on Dec 27th. It will have been 7 months since I saw him last!! Guess that helps me ride the wave of a deployment.
It will be hard not having him home for thanksgiving again. O totally get you Jackie re: empty nest.
