all is well here.... still not home for leave yet either....  my sailor is inbetween A school and OPS school. supposed to get leave in sept..   Kev... how did he like SERE school .. worked with several sailors that had been thru it and it was pretty intense...

Hello Everyone! How are your Sailors doing? My Sailor just got out of SERE school  last week, and reported to Norfolk to his Fleet Replacement Squadron. We were hoping he would get some leave before he starts AWSTS school but it looking like thats not going to happen. Last time we saw him was for a few hours after PIR. Hope all is well with everyone.

Hey all!!! I had a hard time logging in & it wanted me to create new sign in so I waited. Great to read all the posts & catch up. I miss our daily fever of being here talking to each other. I know I am happier that g gets to call whenever. He comped ATT in April but not with his group. He was on hold for a week then started A school. Still in GL. He paid to come home over memorial weekend 11pm Fri nite to Mon am 930. It was awesome!!! I think that hug was bigger than the one I got at PIR!! He will graduate sometimes in Aug then go on to C school in Virginia or San Diego.
Barbydahllz-if you ever come to see drew in SD let me know & I will make the trip to see you!!

Proud mom.....  His A school is there so he's been there since PIR...hes coming home in 4 weeks for leave then back to SD for OPS school,  reports to his command on oct 20th.  i think his ship came off deployment recently, so he won't go out til next year some time

Comment by Proud navy mom/Eddie's mom on June 1, 2012 at 10:34am

Yay Barby....... I wish mine was in San Diego. But atleast he is calling us now, so its not to bad. Mine said his squadron is not attached to a carrier so he will not have to serve on one, just the smaller boats like your son's. I guess none are small lol. When does he get to San diego ?
