I heard from my SR today, needed stuff for his background check.  They started receiving mail on Sunday and he said they are supposed to be able to call on Saturday.  He is in Division 062.

Too funny, Jermom!  :-)

Diannep and CatMom- I am hoping for a little modesty from my (assume ) future DIL. But I am sure she could be wearing a sackcloth and my son would still have his eyes fall out over her...

Victoria:  YES!  You never know!  Whoever gets to keep the devotional book hopefully will benefit from it, including if it is your daughter who is allowed to keep it!  :-)

Yes, me too, CatMom, during my son's PIR in Feb 2010.  Lots of young ladies in short dresses, very tall heels, lots of snow outside and very cold temps!  I wish I had seen how they were dressed when they came into the PIR Hall because something tells me that they changed once they got inside!  HA!

Good Morning!

Jermom,

I saw pah-lenty of girlfriends with the Sailors after the security checkpoint....they were the gals in the short dresses and high heels.... .:)   And like I said, it was in March....with LOTS of snow around!!

FTLW,

Hooray!!  Your Sailor is home right now??  I wish that I could be seeing my Sailor daughter soon...., but not till the first quarter of next year~~

Alexandria's mom, She might not get extra PT for that, although they will probably take it from her. I am guessing it would be considered extra reading material (not allowed), the only thing they can have is a small bible, but you never know the RDCs may fool us on this one.

The training of each division's Mail Petty Officer is finished at different times, so some divisions will receive mail before others.  And remember.....they can only mail out on Mondays, but will receive mail from M-F once the MPO is finished training.
