creolegoddess - Jermom meant a Gate pass at the AP not the Vehicle one for RTC on PIR day. :-)
Jermom - It says "Family" on the TSA website etc...but I would hate for you to not take her and find out later that she could have gotten one. Soooo, I would take her along anyways and ask. Sometimes a "no" is really a "maybe"...
The worst case scenario is that it is a "no". But she would still get to see him at the AP.
When I went to the AP to see my son off...there was a problem with Boarding passes and we ran out of time to get issued Gate Passes (his flight was at 5:45 and yes, it took that long to get everything done). So, I never made it to the Gate, we said Goodbye at the ticket counter.
I was verklempt; he was verklempt...I am verklempt thinking about it right now. ...which is dumb because he is in his room here at home right now! I must be hormonal.
Dang it...
...talk amongst yourselves...
Has anyone in a 900 division received a call since the first "I'm here" call? I am itching to hear her voice...
Hello Ladies~! I just got time after busy Thanksgiving to check in. We got box ( my youngest said she's never been so happy to see her brother's dirty laundry in her whole life..) and we got PIR letter Sat ( Ship 2 DIV 064). We booked for Marriot Residence inn ( wanted the 2 bedroom suite- full kitchen. we are making favorite dinner rather than go to restaurant.)
My question- Does anyone know if a girlfriend can get a gate pass at airport, or is it only family members?
CatMom509 - Can't remember where I posted it about having confirmation on Midway...I forgo that your Sailor did fly from Midway...my apologies!
HAPPY FIRST OF DECEMBER!
I mean....GOOD AFTERNOON! Have been dealing with my grandson since early this morning who is sick.....so haven't been able to get on here until now!
Victoria: Your SR is in the 900 division, right? Doubt that is a push division, but she will be very busy between Bootcamp duties AND her responsibilities in the 900 division with performances, etc.
Good Morning All !
Last year in March 2013, my SR daughter flew from Midway to Pensacola, then it seemed several weeks/months, the Pensacola group mostly flew out of Midway. Then recently I did a quick survey of the Sailors coming into Pensacola and most flew from O'Hare. It really just depends on how many seats are available to all Sailors going to a particular destination on the same flight. Just the luck of the draw after Battlestations are done~~
