~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

If anyone has a BattleStations date for 805, please friend request it to me. Thanks!
The start of BattleStations is just around the corner for this group! Odd that they didn't start them this week, as they almost always do, but today's PIR group didn't start until this week either rather than last week, but then went through Wed night rather than Tues night. So some didn't get their I'm a Sailor calls until the day before PIR. Hoping that this group is finished Tues night/Wed morning. Not sure as I have not received a date for all divisions. We can only hope because they should be able to be finished by then!
YAY on the call Paola and :( on his being sick. But YAY on final week!! My son is in that Div and Ship too. I got a letter today but no call yet :( I am still hoping maybe tomorrow. I second your sentiment all are prayers and love to him, my son and all their shipmates. Hang in there only 6 more days. :)
Momof1 please tell your son that they were AWESOME today. My middle son is a drummer in his HS marching band and he was enjoying their performance at PIR. See you next Friday for graduation of our SR's!!!
Oh, that's awesome momof1.... My SR sings, but must have decided not to let it be known. I'm a little envious of you.
Yall I also cried watching live stream. Can you imagine us next w'end?? I CAN HARDLY WAIT!!!
OMG...... I just watched the live stream from todays PIR and I got too see my SR (son)!!! He is in the drum line so he performed today!! He looked so good a little tired but soooooo good!! I can't wait for next Friday so I can finally put my arms around him!! Congrats to all the new sailors and their families!! Its almost our time!!
Woo Hoo got a letter today!! :) Our SR sounds so great. He has really made the most of this experience. He is ready for the next chapter and they are on count down for next Friday. To all who graduated today, YAY!! CONGRATS!! Dana D. You are not alone I sat and watched some of the ceremony today and cried and cheered. I am going to get a case of Kleenex for next weekend :)
On the temp in the PIR hall, we were there the first weekend in Feb. I think the temps that weekend were a little warmer than this weekend, but I don't remember being cold. Layer and then you can keep all layers on or shed some if you get too warm! The Great Lakes wind can go right through you if you don't layer!
