Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. FTLW: SO glad he got off. What a special time they will have together while you maintain the "homefront" once again!

Sunshine: There are several divisions that live in the same ship, including their "brother" division. That is the only one they will see while there. They train with their brother division.

And, yes, although you can send letters to the recruiter's address, sometimes that address is incorrect (they get it off the computer) and the letters may be delayed in reaching them. Also, remember, mail is held for 2 weeks from the SRs anyway. So better to wait for the form letter.

I think that it made a world of difference for me, just getting to hear her voice, and reassure myself that she was okay. She sounded in great spirits, and patiently answered all of our questions. She also told me that she had not been cold, that if anything, they wear a lot of clothing and she gets a bit warm. She said that she had gotten the pb shot, and that she was SORE. She let us know that she missed us, but her voice also said "Hey, i've got this" She also told me the food was good, and had no complaints of any kind. She just said they are busy from morning until night. Sure hope I hear from her again soon, or at least start getting letters. Even more, I hope that the parents whom have not heard from the children, spouse, etc.. get that phone call. It makes all of the difference. Trying to stay strong :)

I did get my daughter's address from the recruiter, but people keep telling me to wait until I get the form letter to make sure the address is correct. I hope to get it tomorrow.

By the way...my daughter is also in ship 3.

I figured he would since I got the "I'm here" call & the box. Miss him like crazy. The unknown is absolutely the worst. Just have to remember what I read earlier - no news is good news in the Navy! UGH!!
