I believe we are driving to PIR from the Dallas area.  I tried to talk my husband into flying; but since we have not heard from our SR we do not know when he will leave for A-school... if he even knows at this point.  We want to stay and spend as much time as we can with him.  I told my husband about the meet and greet on Thursday night; hopefully we will be there and meet soon.

Proud Mom, this comes directly from the RTC website.

Four seats are guaranteed per recruit; however, children 12 years old and younger do not count against the four-guest maximum. The graduating recruit is responsible for identifying those individuals to be placed on the access list. Please coordinate with your recruit via letters regarding who will be on the access list. No additions, deletions or changes will be made to the access list the week of graduation. The four guests on the access list will be admitted into the ceremonial drill hall first. Additional guests not on the access list will have to wait inside the Visitor Center until after the start of the ceremony at which time they will be allowed into the ceremonial hall if additional seating is available as space permits. No additional seating can be guaranteed.  PLEASE DO NOT CALL FOR ADDITIONAL SEATS.  All visitors must have valid photo identification. This requirement includes children (school ID, Social Security card or copy of birth certificate). Please be aware that security may deny base admission to guests NOT on the access list if they are not accompanied by a guest who is on the access list.

Navywife we are a lot farther away than some of the other moms (I'm in CA). We should be getting something before the end of the week. Hang in there!

The 26th is fine, sofasmom.  But hope you get there in time to attend the MeetNGreets!  Sarge's starts at 5 and goes until 10, I believe.  The Ramada's goes from 6-8 pm.  Free to all!  Food/beverages are available for purchase at each place (they do have some freebies though).

anita:  They usually know about 2 weeks ahead of time.  BattleStations are done during the last 7-8 days before PIR.  Be sure to read the discussion above about it.  Lots of info.  They do not do them on Fri or Sat nights.  It is an overnight drill.

anyone traveling alone and need a hotel buddy?  I thought I must not be the only parent traveling alone, right?  I have the airfare and plan on showing up on the 26th. This should be enough, right?  or should I show up on the 25th?  This time of year, the weather is horrible.  I am coming from Houston, Texas.  I have to be back to work by Monday.  Any ideas?
