anitamt73 (Ship 07 Div 051) yep so help to know we're not alone. Sorry that you had difficult time going to the birthday BBQ. I too know how hard that can be...my daughter's best friend is close to me as well so its hard to talk to because of how close all 3 of us are/were. It helps sometimes to let her know how I'm feeling but other times not because she'll say something that my daughter would say so...errr its up & down. Also doesn't help that its a gloomy rainy day in my part of AZ.
Just checked mail no letter :( waiting on another because I'm wearing the 1st out..LOL.
Navywife11,
I too am sorry you're having a rough day, but hey you are not alone. Today has not been a good day for me either. Everything I hear or everything I see reminds me of how much I miss my daughter...of course today marks 3 weeks of her being gone :(. I've just been writing letters until my hands are sore & checking mail furiously for letters oh & not to mention not having phone less then arms length away. I know this is such a wonderful thing for her personally as well as for her future, but I didn't imagine it would be this hard on me emotionally. Guess it doesn't help I suffer from depression anyways :S. I just try to keep positive & encouraging things in her letters & so looking forward to PIR.
Always helps to remember I raised an amazing daughter as have the rest of you raised some amazing, strong, & couragous children (Husbands/BF included).
44 more days...Wooohoooooo!!!!
thank you autumnsunset DITTO :) thats what im looking forward to
No mail here either guys.
momma2many, I think we are taking the Amtrak too. I keep wondering about weather, cost etc and what would be best in mid January.
navywife11, I am SO sorry it has been such a tough day for you. I remember life when my hubby was deployed. I pray you have peace and comfort. Remember, things look promising for letters/calls later in the week.
no mail for me today :( im going crazy! i feel like im writing a ghost :( ugh today hasnt been the best, I MISS MY HUBBY! :( hope everyones day is going well, GO 02/910!!!
I am starting to dislike the mailman now. He came at like 4pm yesterday, so tried to get a letter out to my SR today, but NO he already came today before 2. AND to top it all off, there wasn't even a letter from my SR in there. ARGH! This snail mail crap sucks!!
You all remember...for those not renting a car, please consider using SARGE. You may be able to share one of his cars with others arriving for PIR (saves money since he charges by the car) but his rates are good anyway. He is retired military and full of wonderful info for you. He can handle all of your travel needs for the weekend. He also hosts a MeetNGreet for families the night before PIR. Call or text him for info:

momma2many: The train station in GL is right next to RTC. Very short walk. You may want to pull up the website.
