ok, we're thinking about taking the train. If we take amtrak to union station. about how much do you think the metra would cost? It's 30 miles from Union station, but what about just around town? or from hotel to rtc?
im sorry the website is: http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil
thank you :) trivia tuesday is on the RTC facebook page, they will be posting a question and the first one to get it right, wins a picture of a division of their choice :) its actually fun and exciting, all the answers are usually on the RTC website page: www.bootcamp.mil :)
Glad to hear that your daughter is feeling better, navywife11, what is this Trivia Tuesday?
Good Morning everyone! 44 days!!!! GO 02/910!!! dont forget today is Trivia Tuesday, and who ever wins gets a picture of a division their choice! i hope something comes today! i cant wait till Friday! Kat you really gave me hope lol Thank you Autumnsunset, my daughter is feeling much better and will be going back to school tomorrow :) im actually going into her class to start working on the christmas cards for our division :) I know ALL the SR's will enjoy them :) i hope everyone has a great day, my thoughts and prayers are with you all!
@Lala, cant wait to get my ribbons! :)
Thanks Diannep and thanks Autumn, The ribbons are to wear to PIR to show support for your Sailor. The are about the size of your hand and make it east to recognize other N4M members and they make a great keepsake. I sent you all the info in a message to your inbox. Thanks again ;-)
Autumn: Click on Lala's icon and go to her page. You will get info there. These ribbons are for PIR and they are wonderful.
Wow, AutumnSunset. I would have been a mess seeing that deer hurt and then taken like that. UGH! Just too much of a darn animal lover! So good that you all tried to do the right thing...I was talking to my sailor tonight as he was driving back to his base and he said a German Shepherd ran in front of his car and he almost hit him. Thank God he didn't...it would have destroyed him. He is an animal lover too...Hope you feel better!
mantha: Better than a cab. call SARGE to transport you from the airport to your hotel. If you arrive at the same time as another customer of his, you all can share the car. His rates are good (charges by the car, not person)...and he is full of info! Retired military. He holds one of the MeetNGreets. Here's his number:
847-212-0246
kat: What division is your husband in? I think the ladies from that division would like to know that calls may come on Friday!
Hi Lala, can you explain the ribbons please? Or direct me to where I may read more about them. Thank you. They are lovely.
Yeah kat.weir!!!!!!! Thanks for clarifying! Oh I hope to get letters and a call this week, that would be great! I miss my boy.
Navywife, I hope your little one is feeling much better today.
I seem to have some horrid congestion in my chest/throat. But still pressed my way and got out and about today. It was a very weird day. First, I had to take my friend to the vet. Her little dog had a skirmish with a racoon which may be rabid. If so, the dog, who was behind on her rabies vaccine would have to be quarantined for six months! Then, tonight, when I went to pick up my son, we saw an injured deer and called the police to come and put it out of its misery and some knucklehead came up behind us, jumped out his vehicle, threw the poor thing in the back of his car and sped off! That is a crime in our state. You have to wait for the police to release it! Anyways, at least maybe the poor thing isn't suffering anymore.
Well, sweet dreams all!
