If they observe holidays on Mondays for Christmas and New Years what would their typical day on the holiday(xmas and new years) and then on the Monday consist of?
Congrats, NavyMom! So glad you got your letter. Now, write 1-1 on Dec 2nd so you know where div 47/48 are in training. They should have been on 2-1 yesterday. Remember, weekends don't count. So Monday will be 2-2 for them. Holidays will move them back a day if they observe holiday procedures on the Mondays after Christmas and New Years.
She is just adorable, Lala.
Hang in there, navywife: You will be beaming with pride on PIR day! Focus on that!
yay navy mom!! I'm ready for a letter, now.
Great News, I got a letter today. It is really odd, there is no postmark. Maybe that created a delay or possible all the xmas mail.
He is doing great.
For those of you wondering what they ate for Thanksgiving. He said he had prime rib, ham, stuffing, corn & powerade. He said the food is great there.
This letter was written on Dec 2nd, which he said he just finished day 1 of week 1. He said he was in phold and pdays from Nov 21-Dec 1st.
Yay Deborah!!
I never thought of the holiday mail load factoring in but makes perfect sense!
@ Lala... Beautiful... They, and you will never regret those 'official' memories. Thanks for sharing!! My oldest is almost 21, then my SR, then the hs Jr, and then the 10 yr old. I've got a while yet - I hope - but I've been watching my friends go through the rights of passage with their children and have caught myself more and more pondering how many changes I'm in for over the next 10 years... staggering!!
awe navywife. I cried during the beginning of the army navy game. !!
Thanks Dianne, Sorry I was busy making ribbons all day and didn't get on here for a while :-) My daughter and Son-on-law actually had a wedding ceremony on their 1st anniversary and it was beautiful. It took days and days of begging to get him to wear his dress blue uniform but I finally talked him into with the help of him mom :-) It is hard to say no to two mom's lol. Here are a couple pics from the ceremony.
