Mantha4,

Congrats on letter! So happy that you've heard from you SR, now the waiting on 1st phone call begins :)

Sorry hit enter key too early..lol. Anyways, bad for her. It will only be me & step-dad attending and maybe her so called future fiance (again another discussion about his getting there that I'm not agreeing with SR about), and possiably a friend of hers. Unfortunatlly (I hate spelling that word..lol), the rest of our Family lives in OH and can't afford to attend but will be there in spirit.

Judyann,

Yes divisions 47 & 48 are brother divisions as you know and yes division 47/48 girls bunk together & division 47/48 guys bunk together (as said in my SRs letter..lol)

Momma2many,

I too know the frustrations of bf/gf relationships. My SR was/is uhh whatever..lol involved with someone who already treated her badly but got back together. I try very hard to keep my noise out of it as she is an adult but I just gave her some advise & let her know no matter what happens Mom will always be there for you. He gave her a promise ring before she left for BC, but I'm not holding my breath as he already made one mistake before. However, with that said I can hope he's learned what a wonderful woman she is and wont break her heart again. Its very difficult as a parent especially Mom to sit back and watch your child do things & make mistakes but that's how we learned & that is how we must let them learn as well. Regarding the Ex, I'm lucky in that area because my Ex wont/can't attended her PIR (good for me, bad for he).

JudyAnn!!  oh, I know exactly how you feel!  and I know about those super nice ones!  ;)     It will work itself out, I'm going to wait on instructions from SR and just send encouraging letters like this isn't an issue to me.     Being remarried does put a buffer and someone to vent to.  You have a LONG way to travel.  wow!

I GOT A LETTER!! It feels like a life time ago since I last spoke to my husand!!! I got a letter. I have been reading all these posts about everyone else getting one, I thought maybe he forgot about me. Yay I got a letter. I am so happy. Its a small token, but something to be treasured forver. I have not been on here to comment, but everyone has helped me in so many ways. Reading posts. When I go to his graduation I will be going alone. This site has helped me plan for everything. So, a BIG thank you to everyone!!!!

@ CoMom92... Hello, our daughters are in brother divisions and I believe they bunk together.  Nice to meetcha :-)

@ Momma2... bf/gf issues are Thee worst!  Hardest thing is to sit on my tongue and not interfere, but its always a miracle when the issue works itself out just like I hoped it would.  I guess...you know your boy...have faith that he will find his way for the best.  Re: the ex... I'm right there with ya.  We have been divorced for 13 years and are all on good terms but my vent is his my ex's new gf.  She's a very nice person...too nice...doesn't respect the boundaries and treats my girls like they are hers in front of me.  I'm not into competing so tend to shift into the "keep your enemies closer and kill 'em with kindness" mode and then silently seeth later.  You have a husband now to buffer the edges which has to help.  I just get territorial and gather my girls closer :-)  I'm not sure if my ex will bring his gf to PIR with him, but he hauls her everywhere else so the thought has crossed my mind.  All the PIR info is coming through me to him and her grandfather...maybe I won't let them know that there's good odds guests can get in.  (where's the devil emoticon when you need it!)

Still no letter yet. I hope everything is ok. He indicated in his form letter on 11/29 that on Monday 12/5 he written me mail that he would mail out.  Maybe it got lost? I am usually not so nervous about things, but I will sure feel better once I get a letter and/or a call. As the bible says, this to shall pass. I just need to be patient.

I'm feeling a little cranky today...  :(  I don't get involved with the kids' relationships and I don't want to.  but my SR was having problems w his short term girlfriend when he left...  I don't even know her... which is weird for him.  he put her on  the PIR list.   And a long time friend of his emailed me that he asked her to come to PIR.  She is able to on her own without anything from me but the info.  I can't get involved in any of this without his instruction, and I don't want to anyway... it isn't in my nature.

So, while i'm planning our trip to PIR I realize that I'm going to have to share him with his dad -divorce.  :(  ...  who has family in the area.   Obviously I'm going to put on a super happy face and there will be no drama but I'm just feeling a little vent-y about it.    so at this point we're looking at girlfriend, female friend, Dad, step dad and me and a local aunt and uncle   (which could be wonderful, I suppose.  ) but I'm just feeling a little icky.  If pir wasn't so awesome I'd just go see him at school.
