Yeah my hubby started in last night about me being crazy. And all I had to say to him was... I know you care very much and you are just as anxious as I am and if you would only LOOSE that Military Attitude as long as they are at BC that would be helpful. Then he gets this little mischevious grin on his face. Cause he knows he is pushing my buttons. Thats ok tho there is a thing called PAYBACKS. And I always wait till it is the most inopertune time for him cause it is most effective. Sorry for the spelling.

SteveB357,
Unfortuantly for as long as I have been in the Military life going way back to when my dad was in the Army. They are taught to not show emotions or anything like that. So I don't think they know what a EMOTIONAL SCHEDULE is. I wish they did. This is the second time for me and it doesn't get any easier. My hubby thinks I am crazy. All I tell him is he needs sensitivity training. And if he was a female he would understand.

Any "I'M A SAILOR" calls yet? I did not get a letter today. But I did get a few letters from the Nimitz group that I sent care packages to for Christmas.

OH yeah when my last son went thru BS I did not get my call till almost 3:30pm eastern time. Because he was off eating JUNK FOOD.

Make sure if you go to the IMAX at the Navy Pier that you go to the USO at the pier and get the discount tickets there. They are 10.00 verses the 17.00 at the IMAX.

Question for any veterans...what time can we expect calls after BS? I am on California time so I was thinking late morning here/early afternoon in GL. But it would be good to have a timeframe -- kinda like waiting for the cable man. :)
Sending good vibes to all of our recruits (and their moms/significant others) tonight.

lr5370 thanks, yes I plan on wearing a red scarf. Ready for bed but I don't think sleep will come easily tonight. Phone rang earlier with an 847 number and as soon as I answered whomever was calling hung up. Sure got my heart pounding though.
