The M&G was fun and PIR was AMAZING. I am so proud of my Sailor :) Liberty Weekend were the best 4 days hands down. NOw i'm going to Pensacola Sat :) He said thats when his liberty starts for Phase1 and that he can stay out until 9:ish on weekends and like 5ish on weekdays then two weeks or so after that Phase2 starts and he can stay out until 10 on weekdays and 12 on weekends and then on Phase3 he can stasy out overnight as long as hes there for his class the next day. He said he loves it and it's like college.

we got home yesterday morning at 4 am....horrible drive both ways...but well worth it!! My son is on a plane to California right now..he is so happy..and wow!!! what a sailor he has become...it was nice meeting everyone although I didn't get to meet all my friends, we couldn't stay too long at the meet and greet as my hubby was sick the whole time we were in GL...Enjoyed my time with my son!!

SteveB357,
I am so sorry for you guysn and your son having to sit around in the compartment. I wish I was able to talk with you guys on Thursday I would have had my son go look him up and he could have spent the day with us. Is he still here at GL? He is more than welcome to join us.

I'm thinking of this graduation group right now, knowing that you are in the middle of the graduation ceremony and just loving it! Isn't it amazing? What they learn in just a few short weeks? My son's group graduated last week. I am also thinking of any of those who got stuck in the snow storm issues and didn't make it...I'm so sorry! Hopefully, most of you did get there. Enjoy your new sailors!
