Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

I noticed in my flower beds today that I have plantings coming up. They must think it is spring. Mother Nature is tricking them I am sure. I too am ready for spring lol.

I sent several orders for ribbons and scarves for this group in the mail today. I still have several orders that I have not received payment for so if you ordered them and didn't send your payment yet let me know :-) There is still plenty of time to get them well before PIR.

Comment by MSmom on January 30, 2012 at 6:18pm: You can order the DVD on the day of graduation also. It is not included in the package. It costs twenty nine dollars and takes between six to eight weeks to receive.
