For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

You are correct, diannep. She is on medical hold for a perforated ear drum & unable to take the water part of the PFA. I did not realize it was separate but so happy for her to be able to check that box. As I have always told my children when faced with a huge task or hurdle ~ "Swallow the elephant one bite at a time". The only hurdle for her now is the swim/float ( piece of cake for a former inner city pool lifeguard) & Battle Stations. Then it's off to A school & warm weather;)

Just want to pass this on. I got a call this afternoon from my daughter who, as you may know, called last thurs with the news of her medical hold status. She told me she was allowed to stay with her Div (915) over the weekend thankfully so she did get to say goodbye & get addresses. She was moved Monday afternoon after she was allowed to take the final FIT test (she passed :)
I missed her call last night but she was allowed to call me back today albeit to read the official "please do not come to graduation on Friday. I will not be graduating", which we already knew but gosh it was really good to hear her lifted spirit. Thank all of you for thoughts & prayers. Keep your phone by your side & take care.

Sorry, divisions calling today who completed BattleStations last night would be 097-100, not 096....they went through on Mon night. Sorry for the inaccurate post! However, if any families in Div 096 did not receive the I'm a Sailor call yesterday, they possibly will get it today!
