For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Our official letter does in fact say those kids 3 and under do not need be on the list, but those 3 and older count...if that helps?

I still haven't received my letter officially stating when graduation is, but if I am part of the PIR set for 3/8, I appreciate those of you who have shared the information from your letters. Disappointing that we may only be allowed three instead of four guests, but I'm glad to find this out sooner than later. Luckily my husband and I have discussed this just in case that was our scenario. If I'm correct, children under 3 still don't count as part of the guest list. Can anyone confirm that? After today we are one more Friday down! :)

Veronica, Southwest Airlines often has the best prices for flights and they fly into Milwaukee. It is a few miles further than O'hare but usually takes less time for travel because there is not as much traffic. The Navy Lodge and Spring Hill Suites seems to be to two most popular places to stay and most hotels in that area offer a discount for PIR and allow you to change or cancel reservations without a fee of any kind right up to the day you arrive.

ok....so I just asked my husband, my SR's stepdad, who has been the only Dad he has ever known....if he was gonna cry at PIR...his exact words...yeah probably...so much for the tough Firefighter I am married to huh??? LOL But how awesome this is

I'm afraid that adding Guests to another Recruits Access List is against RTC policy.
Please see this Forum Discussion I did on that.
The first reply posted by "Angie" has the info that was posted by RTC on their FB page.

Veronica...I am going to safely assume since I did get the letter and my SR is DIV 917....yours will be the same...PIR 03/08 max of 3 guests

I haven't got my letter yet but my sons recruiter said he is div 916 anyone got a letter with that div ? how many for graduation?
