~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

A very special day for you, Molly'sMom! Congrats!
I have just spent the better part of the afternoon chatting through facebook with my sailor!! Then when she got bored, she called. And then called again. And then called again. She called her sister. Then she called me again. Best day in a long while.
She said that she will know tomorrow what time her flight is. She said it's most likely Saturday, but that some will fly on Sunday. She said she will know more details tomorrow. She said they expect a pretty boring week.
She told me where she will be in the formation for PIR. She is pigging out on food from the NEX.
I am so ready to leave. We leave Tuesday night. We are "drive through the night" people so we will get in sometime on Wednesday and have plenty of time to relax before Sarge's Meet and Greet on Thursday night.
Can't wait till Friday to see my girl!!
otoolio---Ditka's is awesome. Get the bacon wrapped filet and be sure to try the sweet potatoes. Also, the crème Brule is to die for.
Captains Cup results: 108 won for All male division. 917 won for integrated division and 106 won the chant !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! woooohoooooooooooooo
spomss: My son is now out of the Navy...and still sports that haircut! :-) Says he likes it!
Sunshine: Your sailor will know the time and airport by PIR Day. I always suggest that everyone drop off their sailors at RTC, go back to the hotel for a nap, and then head to the airports in the wee hours if they want to. I always worry about those who get no sleep and drive out there.
You get the gate pass with your sailor. There will be airlines personnel there to direct everyone. USO is helpful too.
They will be flying in their dress (blue) uniforms.
If you are having an issue with printing your parking pass, try using Internet Exploder Explorer instead of Firefox or another browser. You can also try copying and paste the form to something like Microsoft Word and print it.
That should be attending :) Not sure what happened there.
I have plenty of wool socks - if we were closer, I'd certainly lend you a pair! :) Any folks entending the meet and greet at the Ramada? Plane doesn't land till 6:30 but I'm hoping to catch 8-9 or at least 8:30-9. :)
