Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 119 and 120
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

Ladies my blondness/being a girl is in full swing. I just saw a picture on FB of the embroidered scarfs and changed my order for DIV 120. I now have a Navy scarf with gold anchor and white US Navy and DIV 120. Same $20 cost. I hope others order one too.
I won't be ordering one, but I do have the exact same embroidery pattern and font, so if I decide to make one, I will follow that same pattern. It is really difficult for me to pay someone to make something that I have the ability to make myself. I am also making my own ribbons. We have a store here called Sam Moon and they sell accessories really inexpensively. I bought a blinged out "Go Navy" pin for $4 that I am planning to use in the middle of mine and my mother's ribbons. Otherwise, I'm planning to put gold letters on the navy ribbon so it will be similiar to everyone else's.
I know I posted this yesterday but I saw on fb something about calls, anything?
Not yet :-(
Lisa (husband is Chad)- Division 119 I'm from Uhrichsville, Ohio.. My SR will be a Constuction Mechanic
My son was orginally in Division 113 but was put in 119 at the beginning of February after a week program " For the life of me I can't remember the name of it right now " :( due to not adjusting well to military life.. This helped him alot and now he seems to be adjusting better.. At least I hope, haven't heard from him since the 12th when he called his girlfriend..Oh and I did get a letter last week. These weeks need to go by faster.. :)
Well guess there will be no calls tonight either. No letters either, praying for mail tomorrow, but he doesn't like to write, ugh. Can only pray for our SRs and I think we have all been doing a lot of that, Dangermrs is right about almost in the teens for days and counting Fridays looks even better. I must keep reminding myself about my own motto that "no news is good news". Congrats to those of you who got mail today. Can't wait to meet all of you wonderful ladies. Have a restful night.
Just got a 52 minute phone call from my SR, got to ask him all the questions we had written down. He said they did good at inspections and he wants to eat pizza on Liberty. Does anyone have an SR McManis? Hoping you all get phone calls too. Happy Momma
My son is SR McManus. I just joined the group and MaryK I saw that you were looking for an SR McManus. He said he had a few good friends there but I did not catch their names. I only talked to him once and got one letter.
I haven't received a phone call yet :( I did receive two letters yesterday though. Unfortunately my sailor sent a necklace with the letter, but it was stolen out of the letter before I even received it :( I hope I can get a phone call sometime soon.
Someone posted a picture a little back about a mom who makes silver bracelets, but I cant find the pic or the post. Does this ring any bells with anyone?
