~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

MaryK: No letter or call this week unless I missed it at my dorm. Since I didn't get a call this week I'm not expecting one until after BS
almost to the single digits!!!!!
MaryK: They should be on about 5-4 tomorrow according to their BattlesStations. date. This would be for 119/120. This is their training week/day, not bootcamp week/day.
Did anyone in 119 get letters this week? I didn't. I was hoping for a call too- but an SR in 120 said 119 missed inspection by 1 point and wasn't getting calls. Well, I'm still happy we got almost an hour phone call last weekend. Does anyone know what day/week they are on? Thanks for any info
Good Morning!
Got another letter from our SR Thursday and a call today. He sounded so good, so upbeat. Can't wait until graduation!
Congrats, Christi/Wendy! So glad you got to speak to them!
My SR just called. He's doing great and sounded so positive. He said don't worry mom I got this. My SR wants to go to Chicago to the Sears Tower. He said they are still on track for the Hall of Fame. Passed all tests not worried. Now mom can relax a little.
Just got off the phone with SR! He sounds so good. This time I had a list of questions ready so that I would be prepared and not forget anything. I did ask him if he would like to go back to the hotel and would he like me to bring him some sweats. His response was that he really wanted to go to Giordano's and get some deep dish. He can't imagine leaving Chicago area and not having a slice! - That's MY boy! He also said that their division is still in the lead, but next week everything counts big for or against them. So all moms, dads and loved ones, please send prayers and positives their direction!!
Wendy: Hoping that he is writing a letter tomorrow to mail out to you on Monday!
