Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Hello! I have been away sick and getting better :-)

I will add some more information PAGES to the PAGES section very soon!

Though I know the Veteran Mommas have been keeping you well informed :-)

They're great ladies...oh and uh Craig! :-)

50-70 Divisions...3 RDC's each...equals at least over 200 RDC's.

Compare that to the amount of times I have had a "report" of one reading comments...minimal.

Look at the schedule that your Recruits keep every day as well...they are very busy and so are their Commanders.

I think we'll shift the focus to that :-)

What happens at bootcamp - Day-per-Day? (Up to week #6)

Thanks Betsy and stay safe out there. We had that bad weather here all day on Friday and the ice was at least 1/4 inch think on everything from power lines and trees to the cars and roads. You may want to reschedule that appointment because it can turn from bad to worse very quickly.

Good Morning Ladies, hope all are safe and warm this morning.  We have freezing rain, yuck!  I'm hoping that it subsides, because today is a day that I take my mother to one of her doctor's appts. and she isn't very steady on her feet anymore.

Lala, I agree with BeachBunny, I couldn't have said it better.  :)

Thanks so much BeachBunny :)

GB the phone quality there is terrible and they really need to replace most of those phones in the phone bank. I wonder if they even still make pay phone to replace them with lol. They need to do like the Army and Air Force and keep all the cell phones and hand out their batteries when they are allowed to make a call :)

LaLaRibbon Queen RIR Ribbons-Thank you for the great word of wisdom this morning.I have found this site to be helpful with providing information on what our SR are doing in GL and how to manage our visit for the PIR...Thank you!

Caller ID: My came up as Privacy Manager due to my "non-telemarkter" setting. But the SR are using calling calls so the number may not have the local area code depending are where the phone call was routed from.....I agree answer all calls for the next 46 days...:)

I found the questionaires under letter writing to be helpful. As the Mom of three boys, they don't always really know what you'll like to hear about. These questions help guide them. Which is a win-win at this piont. They open up, since they really are not in the making friends phrase yet and you get to hear from them...:) Just a thought...
