For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Cat: I am so sorry....but she still has time! What happens is if she hasn't passed her final PFA (includes the run) by her division's BattleStations date, she will go into FIT and keep trying. She will also call you to tell you she may not be at graduation and don't come unless she calls again. Not sure what division she is in, but for those who do BattleStations the week BEFORE PIR week, they get more chances to pass the next week (M and W). If she is in a division that does BattleStations PIR week, she probably will just get one more try in order to pass and be at PIR. If she doesn't pass by then, she will stay in FIT and gets 10 or so tries there (M W F) until she passes ..... or is discharged (which won't happen to her! She will get this before PIR!)....For those who pass in FIT, they have no PIR then...they do BattleStations and head straight to A School...although they usually will have a little Liberty if families are close enough to get over to see them. Prayers for her!

Another Friday ladies!!! Wow, it seems forever ago our kids were leaving for boot camp and now in 13 days we will be seeing them graduate. I have not heard from my daughter in awhile, not even a letter. I have only received 2 since she left. Hope everyone is doing well and staying strong:)

Got a call from my SR yesterday also. She was in tears... She still is pretty far off on her run and it looks like she may end up in FIT. She has other recruits supporting her and saying that they will run with her on the final run even if it means they don't pass, but she won't let them do that. She is just beside herself with worry. My heart just breaks for her. Can anyone tell me how the FIT division works?
