for
~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

I got the call ! I am so proud , my son is officially a Sailor !! we got to talk for quite some time , he called some other family and then called me back ! SO happy and excited for my son. On to A school and his new life as a Navy Man !!
Blessings! This spoke to my momma's heart~~
"A woman, when she is in labor,
has sorrow because her hour has come:
but as soon as she has given birth to the child,
she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy
that a human being has been born into the world."
John 16:21
Thank you for the link, diannep! HOOYAH!
Here is the link to the entire RTC Family Guide for those wanting info on PIR, etc:

Lorraine: RTC asks that all extras stay off base. Although they run the PIR Livestream in the Chapel, we have heard that they don't allow extras on base to see this. Here is what it says in the RTC Family Guide about "extras' on base.
"ALL GUESTS 3 AND OLDER MUST BE LISTED ON THE ACCESS LIST. No exceptions will be made for active duty service members or retired military personnel. Children age 2 and younger do not need to be listed on the access list and will not count toward the maximum number of guests. Please do not call or e-mail RTC for additional seats. Those who are not on the access list should remain off base and meet with their Sailor once he or she commences off base daytime liberty. We do not have a designated waiting area nor do we have a standby line."
Flying out in the morning! Praying for safe passage for anyone attending PIR this Friday.
Does anyone know if extra family members are allowed on base and wait in the chapel My grandson pir is 4/3 and his sisters would like to go on base
Safe Travel for those leaving for GL today!
Good Morning!
CONGRATULATIONS to all the new Sailors and their families!! Safe travels to all to an awesome PIR!!
Remember, PIR is just the beginning of the Navy journey. Keep plugged into Navy for Moms where there are groups for A school, C school, ratings (jobs), bases, ships, states, regional, twins and multiples, and the "Christian Navy Moms" that I am a part of!
Also, the U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command page on Facebook puts up photos from each PIR. If you see your Sailor in a pic or more, you can download it to your own computer by either clicking on the picture, going down to Options and downloading it OR right click, "Save Picture As" to a file on your computer~~
