~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".
The Weather Widget is interactive. Click the green dot on the top bar and drag it along the to change the time. Click LIVE to go back to current time. Click on the days to change to that day or expand out to six days.

Citrine: Is it possible that he is an Honor Recruit? If so, you will get a letter explaining that with details about graduation day! Should arrive this week if he is one.
I hope you won't have issues in getting your guests into PIR, but like ellen said, they are pretty strict about only allowing in who is on the list. We did hear of a case where a family was allowed to substitute on the list at the gate, but can't guarantee that. RTC states on its site that anyone not on the access list will not be allowed in nor can they wait on base. That person must return to their car. Fingers crossed!
I'm sorry Elicia!! Welcome to weather in the midwest: very unpredictable!! (it could change again!!) I went with pants on my shopping trip as well; a dark red straight leg...now the blouse I had gotten doesnt match! LOL Oh well...I took advantage of some great sales!
BlakesMom, you will get them in plenty of time. you should have them by this coming Saturday or Monday at the latest :)
I am not 100% positive but I believe you can order the DIV shirts after PIR. If you contact them they can tell you exactly how long you do have :)
They probably have been given the last chance to change the names on the list for PIR (it may still be this week). So, if you haven't let your SR know who is coming, and the names are different than the original access list, you probably cannot get it changed. The RTC will not allow anyone who is not on the list into PIR.
Thank you, SRMom! I did get that letter dated February 12. My son said some 10 days ago I should get another one. I think he was mistaken. Anyhow, looking more closely at the originally received letter, it appears there is a load of info that I felt out of the loop on, Thanks! We've had a shift in the persons attending and my son is out of the loop. I hope we can get it straightened out in time.
Ladies, my son said I should expect a letter from the Navy with all the details about graduation, and I've received nothing, Graduation is 4/5. Has anybody received such a letter?
Poseiden does a great job on the division "flag" tshirts...which is a design by your SRs! It is neat to see! Yes, you can order after graduation, but I'm not sure for how long. Check that out on their website (phone number is on there too):
BlakesMom: No worries....Lala will make sure you get the ribbons in time---she has had lots of practice and is great with that!
