Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

My son was struggling with running on first 2pfas. Started praying this scripture over him and he passed 3rd one with 30 seconds to spare. Said he improved 80seconds from 2nd to 3rd PFA. Just wanted to encourage y'all!
Joel 2: 4 They look like horses. They run like war horses. 5 As they jump on the tops of the mountains they sound like war-wagons. They sound like a fire burning up the dry grass, like a powerful army ready for battle. 6 Nations suffer in front of them. All faces turn white. 7 They run like strong men. They go over the wall like soldiers. They each walk straight on, and do not turn from their paths. 8 They do not push each other. Each one walks in his path. When they break through those who fight against them, their path is not changed. 9 They rush upon the city. They run on the wall. They go into the houses through the windows like a robber. 10 The earth shakes in front of them. The heavens shake. The sun and the moon become dark, and the stars stop shining. 11 The Lord thunders in front of His army. His army has too many to number. Those who obey His Word are powerful. The day of the Lord is very great and fills people with fear and wonder.

Josh'sMom,

Wow, an extra day!  It's too bad the Navy can't let us know our SR/Sailors' travel plans a little earlier.  It will work out.  Have you checked on what the change fee will be?  Staying until Monday is a rare occurrence and if you can possibly extend your stay, you won't regret it~~  Just a thought.

AndrewB/Mom & Jewlz,

Prayers for both your sons for their runs on Monday!!  May they both pass this time so that they can be with their divisions during Battlestations and PIR~~

Comment by CodysMom on April 13, 2013 at 11:49pm

My son will also be running on Monday... I pray they will all make it through. I so much want him to do BS with his DIV. Prayers for all....

Comment by diannep on April 13, 2013 at 11:21pm

AndrewB/Mom:  Yes, if he doesn't pass on Monday, he will run again on Wed (every 48 hours).  If he passes then, he would normally do BattleStations that night, but there is no BattleStations that night.  The next PIR group starts theirs Thurs night so he would be with them.

The reason he may be in the balcony (with other sailors) is because he would have been up all night...although I have heard in the past of some who still managed to march with their divisions!

Let's see if you get an I'm a Sailor call from him by Wed.  If not, you can call the PAO  847 688 2405 Wed afternoon to see if they have a status on him.

Prayers that he gets it done on Monday, in plenty of time for you to hear the good news!
